Drilling → Mixing → Grouting → Waiting for cracking
1. Drilling
First, use a pneumatic drill and a drill bit suitable for the type of rock to be broken to drill.
The hole spacing is recommended to be controlled between 30 and 60 cm (about 1 to 2 feet);
For reinforced concrete structures, the hole spacing is recommended to be no more than 20 cm (about 8 inches);
The hole diameter is recommended to be 38 mm to 50 mm (about 1.5 to 2 inches);
The hole depth is generally 70% to 90% of the rock/concrete thickness, which can be adjusted according to actual conditions.
2. Mixing Breaking Chemical(Mixing)
For safety reasons, it is recommended to wear rubber gloves during operation, especially when manually mixing in small batches.
Mix 1.5 liters of water with 5 kg of Cracking Powder , or mix in a weight ratio of 1:3;
It is best to use an electric stirrer + stirring paddle;
If you use simple tools such as wooden sticks to stir, make sure that the powder is fully dissolved and stirred into a fine and uniform slurry.
3. Grouting into the hole (Filling)
Use an air pump to clean the dust in the hole;
Fill the slurry into the hole within 10-15 minutes after mixing;
Do not fill the hole mouth, and leave a gap of about 15mm (about 1/2 to 1 inch);
Use steel bars or wooden sticks to gently stir during grouting to avoid bubbles affecting the expansion effect;
If it is a horizontal hole, it is recommended to use a grouting pump to improve grouting efficiency and density.
4. Waiting for cracking (Cracking)
Depending on the temperature, lithology and material, cracks generally begin to appear after 40-60 minutes;
Over time, the cracks will gradually expand and reach the maximum cracking effect within 48 hours;
Without any external force, the stones or concrete blocks will separate naturally, which is convenient for subsequent cleaning or transportation.
